And like Kay, I too was wondering if that's a necklace you're wearing, or an ID tag? Well, either way, that's some stylish gear!

I so enjoyed reading your Mommy's very touching tribute to her best buddy, of the very special bond you two share! After a yummy, home cooked meal, what better way to end the day than snuggling together on the couch for a little TV time, some cuddles and kisses! You truly are one very special soul, Piper; a gentle soul with a heart of gold, and your Mommy so very lucky to have such a sweet and loving, beautiful best feathered friend in you!

Hello everyone! I have the honor of being Piper's Mommy and I'm so glad all of you liked her photos and story. She is indeed a special little girl who came along when I was still grieving the loss of a previous bird who was my shining star. She went a long way in helping me heal.
As for her "bling"--it is the plastic ring off a milk bottle. The ring had been cut, so there was no way she could have hung herself on it or choked herself. Also, she was being carefully supervised while wearing it. I did not put it on her, she did that to herself while playing with the ring.

Piper, I like the circles on your cheeks and the yellow feathers on your head! How could anyone not smile when they see you? And I thought the same thing, perhaps you have an ID band on. Now that I look more closely, I see it- the ring from a milk jug! How smart of you to accessorize, Piper It looks like the top part, the one I have to break apart with the end of a spoon to get the milk open. My cat likes to play with the bottom part. How fun that you have your evening "together time"! I bet that is special for both you and your mum.
