Snow Pics and Other Things

Snow falling outside last night around 5:30.We were to get an "Alberta Clipper",around an an inch of snow,ended up over 4 inches.The streetlight behind the car in the last picture has been on for I don't know how long,haven't called to get it looked at,the tree is a problem too with branches hanging over wire,if they get weighted down with snow or ice, it falls on the wires and there will go the phone and internet service.

First three pictures is snow around our house,next one is snow on the hedge at a neighbor's two doors up,snow around the Rose Of Sharon next to the shed snow on trees and plants next to where a friend of Mom lives that we pick up to go to church with and snow on a Spruce at her neighbor's.

Snow on cars at Cowan Buick/GMC,three pictures of snow around Trinity United,St.Andrews Presbyterian Church up the street,snow on bushes in front of a house around the corner from us ,our house,the water tower,next to the old fire department and police station,water tower has been there for around 50 years or so,will be another one at another location eventually and the old High School right down the street.This is where Mom,Marlene and Larry went to school,I was at this school for Grade 8,I went to High School at another school.It is being prepared to be demolished at some point,not sure when,it was built at this location in 1890,not building anything else there,kind of bad,losing some history,It had renovated a couple of times,before I went there for Grade 8,there was a fire in 1974,also a fire in the early 20th century so we couldn't go there for a year,were spread among public schools.The High School I went to was built in 1972,it is on Liberty Street,South a little ways from where Larry and Marlene live.

First picture is next to Mom's friend,she picks her up for church every Sunday,next three are Trinity United Church,our front lawn after we got home and out the kitchen window.Everything will look a lot whiter come Tuesday into Wednesday,a major snowstorm is heading this way ,dumping 8-12 inches and gusty winds plus drifting snow before tapering off Wednesday afternoon.Our snow blower will get a lot of use for sure,will need the snow rake to take it off the roof if if they get this amount of snow right.

The snow looks SO pretty from inside your home- where you are nice and warm, lol. You camera did really well with the night shots, too.

That was interesting reading about the old school, quite some history there.

Your roads and the parking lot look like around here, they've done a great job of clearing the snow this winter so far. We are due for that same storm on Tuesday into Wednesday. I bought a new snow thrower 3 years back, it is self propelled, and I REALLY am happy to have it this year with all the snow we are getting!

Great pictures, Barry!! Even though I saw a ton of snow in North Carolina at Christmas, It's still beautiful.

The snow falling outside the back door around 25 to 7,temperature is 14 degrees,then a little later at 5 to 8 and around 10 to 8,this was the day I used the snow blower and had the picture taken,snow on the patio Saturday night,Heidi had a run around in it,loves doing that,snowing outside the back door on Saturday night,it was 32 degrees,looking out at the street and picture of the Maple Tree covered with snow that night and Sunday morning the Maple with snow.On the Wednesday we got around 7 inches,didn't look like it,it had drifted a lot and Saturday into Sunday was 4inches,last night to this morning an inch to an inch and a half,has been flurrying most of the day,getting colder tomorrow 10 degrees feeling like -10,today had been around 31-32 degrees,cold the rest of the week,milder next week.

I love the pictures where the snow is falling. Great work on all the pictures, Barry. You are really brave to be able to live with all that snow every year. Amazing!!!
