When Coop and I sat down to dinner this evening, I was surprised by an envelope leaning against the wine bottle. When I opened it, this is what it said:
Mommy & Daddy;
Through all your recent ailments you have continued to be so good to me. Making sure I get breakfast on time when it's tough for you two just to get out of bed, playing mousy with me when you're barely able to pick up a mousy and taking me out for romps before Daddy was in too much pain. Mommy even went out and bought a small tree for me to play with since we couldn't have a real one. For your Christmas present I stole, I mean borrowed, Daddy's credit card and went on the computer (after Daddy finally debugged it) and got you tickets to West Side Story at the Hippodrome for Saturday April 16. Maybe I'll swipe Mommy's card so you can go out to dinner before the show. And by the way, speaking of dinner, isn't it about time for my dinner? Merry Christmas to the best Mommy and Daddy that a kitty could adopt.
