    Please welcome our new addition Winnie

    A little history on how Winnie became apart of our family. She is 8 months old now.

    One night in early June as we were driving down a street on our way home, this fur ball darted right in front of our van. I yelled for Ricky to stop. He parked and we proceeded to look for the kitty. Luckily I always have cat treats in the van, plus a flashlight. After about 15 minutes we spotted the cat. She was very hesitant to come to us, but I guess hunger took over and she approached to get some yummies. I was able to scruff her and bring her into the van. I could feel her starting to go limp in my hands so I loosened my grip and she just layed there in my lap. Brought her home and confined her to my room. The next day we brought her to our vet and he estimated her to be around 12 weeks old and apart from being dehydrated and a little underweight, she was in good health. We could not get over how much she looked like our RB Willy, face wise, and that's how she became a keeper.

    So on with the pictures of Winnie.

    For sure Willy had a hand in you crossing paths with Winnie that night in June. He knows all his fans here miss him so he sent a stand in to keep us from missing him so much! I think she'll do nicely for his stand in and I am sure she will not mind being compared to him since their beauty is equal.

    What a way to send her to you too.. I always marvel at how they make their way into our lives, sometimes taking a round about way, sometimes coming directly to us and how sometimes, they come to us so that we can help them get where they belong.. I think when they select us, it is because they already knew who they were meant for and as soon as they spot us, they know! She went limp in your hands when she realized "Hay! THIS IS MY FOREVER MOM!"

    Congratulations on your 2 new babies...

    At that age, it really is amazing that she came to you. Hunger is right, poor wee soul, how fortunate that you and Rick were passing by that time.

    Now look at Winnie, just an amazing fluffy gal, who seems to have settled right in and claimed all the house and its inhabitants as HERS! Aren't they amazing? When they land in a good place, they just seem to KNOW it, he heee.

    These photos are wonderful, and I love her peeking through the glass at the other cats.

    Curious if she and Suzy play together? Being close in age and all, but both females so not sure.
