I was so excited as today I was flying to CT to see niece and my son was coming to visit her home as well. Get to the airport at 6:30pm check in, flight delay.
There was no way I could make my connecting flight, no other flights to take without having to overnight in Charlotte or Philly and pay for a taxi and hotel. So my other choice was to come home and fly out early tomorrow morning so that is what I will do.
Glad I am only a half an hour from the airport, still a disappointment and less time to spend with niece and son.
No discount from airline, no upgrade, no paying for hotel or rental car, $25.00 charge for one bag to be check. Luckly I put everything in the carry and one big purse.
This is the first time this has ever happened to me and I have flown often.

Marigold, Sometimes you wonder if you could walk there faster. You can't depend on anything anymore. Hope you get a flight out tomorrow & make it to your destination eventually & safely.

This is why I drive anywhere within a day's reach. For any flight, you need to be at the airport 2 hours in advance. At the other end, it's probably about an hour of d***ing around; you're crammed in like sardines, etc. I'm considering taking the Acela next time we go to Florida, although Jet Blue out of White Plains isn't too evil.
