I hope I don't offend anyone by posting about my first dogger that has been gone for 6 years today. When I was married to that "person" I was not allowed to mourn on the anniversary of the pet's passing. It made him feel bad. I'm making up for lost time now.
I got Sami when she was 8 weeks old. Her birthday was February 18th. She died on February 24, 2004, just a week after her 12th birthday. Sami was my first very own dog. She was a wonderful girl. She would bark for vegies, eat corn off the cob, but you had to hold the cob. She liked to poke her nose in my moms butt cause it always made my mom jump and shriek. She tricked me into removing my gardening glove to pet her, she stole the glove and ran around the yard with it, not giving it back, it was play time, not rake the grass time. She welcomed Sasha into our lives, she lived thru my first divorce, my second marriage to that "person", she even tolerated the ferrets. My mom still gets teary talking about her to this day.
Sami, I hope you're having fun at the Bridge. Taking care of sister Sasha and all those ferretty boys. I hope you've met my grandparents and my brother and sister, they never knew you, but I bet they do now. I love you dogger, I miss your hugs, brushing your teeth before bed time, even the yucky habit you had of sticking your tongue up my nose when giving kisses. Be a good girl, I'll see you again one day.
