I know we have not been around in forever and I feel funny coming back to ask for prayers for our Duke because of my abscence but he needs them greatly. It is a very very long story but the short version is that Duke had a lump that had massive growth and before we got him to the vet it ruptured or something and then he had massive subcutaneous bleeding. They think Duke may possibly have hemangiosarcoma, this link will give a description of the cancer http://www.vetinfo.com/dencyclopedia/dehemsarcoma.html. All of Duke's blood work has been excellent except his RBCs has dropped to 28, low normal is 37. They have since gone back up to 34 as of Wednesday and his bruising is subsiding. I am waiting to hear back from the vet today to set up a biopsy and possible removal. She did not feel comfortable doing it sooner as he had so much subcutaneous bleeding. Here are picures of my boy, the first picture is from last Wednesday, the second from yesterday morning. He has been on "bedrest" to prevent any further bleeding. Please pray the mass can be removed and give my boy lots more healthy time here with us. As you may remember, Duke is 9 years old so for a boxer he is an old man. You would never know with his goofy antics as he still acts like a pup. I ask that you please say a prayer for him.

oh No Traci I am so Sad to be reading this.. For sure sending Lots & Lots of Prayers & Prayers for your boy Duke.. Duke please baby boy get better real soon.. I just know the surgery will go thru just fine.. Huggss for your Traci..
