Work. . .then home to parrots, Chinese food (shared with Parrots) and chocolate (after parrots went to bed)

    Not a bad celebration I'd say. . .

Well, our morale was a bit higher today for it! Sometimes we have a bonfire and celebration, but not this year.

(laughing) working ... we were busy all day ... then went to Kohl's for a few last-minute Christmas gifts, and then the supermarket. To be honest, it slipped my mind until I heard about it on the news. But I'm glad that the days will be getting longer soon!

Well I was working too, but I did take some time to watch the Maeshowe webcam. Maeshowe is a neolithic site on Orkney and at sunset on the winter solstice a beam of light shines through an opening above the door and illuminates the back of the chamber ... on a clear day.

Working, and discussing with lilycat the joys of knowing today will be light one minute longer! Well, today isn't a significant amount lighter but in 2 weeks, we will be 15 minutes more light and so on! That is exciting!
