You are the MOST gorgeous kitty ever! Even though I have a Siamese who allows me to live with him, I have a secret love for calicoes and torties. I'm surprised to hear that you like all sorts of people; the calicoes I have known had a lot of snobbiness in them, and were particular about who they would associate with. Not you though! What a gorgeous, beautiful tortellina! Such a wonderful story, too. A flying turtle, a turtle-dove... A little multi-colored bundle of love.

As it happens, I pet-sit for a tortie girl named Turtle here in Ann Arbor.. I will be visiting her again over Christmas. When I first saw the COTD picture and read the name, I wondered if "my" Turtle's purrents had submitted her picture. But then I read on and learned that today's celebrated Turtle is a flying Texan, neither of which mine is.

Congratulations to you, lovely Turtle! I hope your loyal subjects are giving you extra lovings and treats today in honor of your title.

Hi there gorgeous Turtle! Happy Cat of the Day to you! What a beauty you are! Then again I'm partial to Tortis! Many thanks to your Mom for sharing your heartwarming story with us!!! Love how you came to be named! My boy Tigg was found in a tree too, right outside my kitchen window one snowy day...and decided to stay! But unlike your story, a grandson and ladder were not needed for the extraction! You certainly found your way to the most loving of forever homes sweetheart, though I'm sure that was your plan all along! How blessed your Mom and Dad are, having a sweet and loving, beautiful furkid in YOU!
