    How come ....

(As a child, I was told I asked tooo many questions. I'd spend the time after 'lights out' asking my sister 'what if' questions. I clearly remember at least one reply of "What if nothing, go to SLEEP!)

So lets have a thread for those kind of questions - and answers if anyone has them.

How come spammers think I want a list of dentists or doctors? I don't GET that!

I use to wonder why when you go into a fast-food place if you order a meal for there they put it on a tray, but if you order a kid's meal for there-no matter what they put it in a bag. Why do they do that if it's for there? They don't put regualr meals in a bag.

Why am I getting such frequent mailings from Direct TV and AT&T U-verse ... and why does my Comcast cable bill keep going up?

    ROFL!!!

Actually...I am sure some folks who read braille use the drive thru as a walk-thru also - but yeah, sure sounds funny!

Why does the TCF Bank guy at the Jewel keep asking me if I want to open a checking account there? You've asked me twice, I've said no twice ... I'm sorry, I don't.

Actually the Braille on the drive-thru ATMs is probably mandated by law for equal access, in case someone does walk up, or get driven up. Barring that, they probably make the same exact machine for walk-up and drive-up locations, so it's easier to make the same machine for all spots than to retool to make some without braille.

Tim Allen asked this question and it's always bothered me, too: why is there a light in the vacuum cleaner? I'm not going to vacuum in the dark and it sure doesn't make things any brighter during the day.

How come it is impossible to talk to a real person rather than some stupid voice recognition software that ask you the wrong questions or doesn't understand your response to their questions. ATT is the worst and after you finally talk to a person "IN PERSON" it is the wrong person.

Why do we park our cars on the driveway and drive on a parkway?

How come when just about any large sporting event or award show is on, broadcasters assume we're "all" watching it, and only show reruns?
