Just heard this on the tube.

So here I am, on vacation, snuggled in bed with Max listening to the radio. So the phone rings and it's someone who shall remain nameless **Richard**, asking about the earthquake. It was off the coast of the Queen Charlotte Islands so we wouldn't have felt anything where I am. So far the radio is saying no injuries or property damage - I guess it was in the middle of the Pacific.

Nothing to worry about folks. Now if you don't mind, I'm crawling back to bed on this cold dark morning. Max awaits me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

A 6.6 in the news does get your attention doesn't it? The last "big one" here was a 6.7 and I won't be forgetting that one any time soon.

Just glad to hear no one was hurt.

Glad it was far enough off the coast that no one was hurt. Hope the fishies enjoyed the rollercoaster ride!
