    Whirled Peas Thursday #342

I have always loved the Visualize Whirled Peas bumper sticker.

What a time to invoke that thought!

Let me look for a green drink recipe, I need one.

Other than an appletini, I can't think of a green drink recipe, but might I suggest split pea soup with bacon for lunch?

Green eggs(are they boiled ) and ham for breakfast?

And possibly chicken enchiladas with salsa verde for an entree?

Toss in some mint green sugar cookies for dessert, and I think we've got a menu! (An odd menu, but a menu nonetheless!)

I found a nice green cocktail!
    Watermelon Green-tini

    2 oz local watermelon puree
    2 oz vodka
    1 oz champagne
    1 tsp mint, finely diced
    1 cup ice

    Directions

Add the watermelon puree, vodka, mint, and ice into a shaker.
    Shake vigorously.
Pour in martini glass (without ice).
    Top off with champagne.

    Sound like a winner?

    Another green cocktail: Grasshopper!

    1 part creme de menthe
    1 part creme de cacao
    1 part heavy cream

Mix together and serve with chocolate shavings and a mint leaf! Yummy!

I'll bring the green cookies - I'll do cookie press green trees, okay?

No pea soup for me, the color of it has always reminded me of an old Army blanket - not very appetizing!

    Stunned by the enchilada request?

I'll cook, but I'm warning you, they're going to be on the spicy side if there aren't any kids around to worry about.

How about some red beans and rice to go with? Not green, but fitting.
