    Yellowstone/Tetons trip <lots of pics>

A couple of weeks ago we went on a bit of last minute weekend trip to Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Jackson. The dogs stayed home because they aren't allowed on any trails there. It was a blast, here are some photos:

    Elk

Look for the brown spot near the bottom left corner...that's a grizzly bear

Mammoth (much less water there than I remember it seemed pretty dried up)

    Elk calf

    Tower Falls

I can't remember if I took this pic at Lower or Upper Falls

We stopped by Old Faithful in the morning before heading to the Tetons, here's a view of it from the Old Faithful Lodge

See the waterfall on the left side? We found a trail and headed to that

This pics are taken along that trail

Sitting in the Tetons with my feet in a waterfall. Love it.

We took the Ferry across Jenny Lake. This is along the trail on the other side

I think these were called Hidden Falls, the picture doesn't do them justice.

    Jenny Lake from Inspiration Point

I'm sure this meant to point around the corner but it looks like its pointing to the bucket, made me laugh

We went on a whitewater rafting trip in Jackson, here's a bad pic taken with a cheap waterproof camera

Saw this moose on the way home

BEAUTIFUL pictures! Agh, I still yet have to make it out to Yellowstone one of these days. I'd be in love and never leave.

And, BF? Details - when did you meet/how/his name?

I haven't seen all your pictures (dial up - it takes forever), but you're talking about one of my FAVORITE areas of the US. My husband and I have skied there several times, and the Grand is one of my favorite places on earth. I know it was memorable!

You took fantastic pictures, and the landscapes are so great! Thanks for sharing, it's very interesting!
I would love to go there

Waking up with such a big animal next to the tent must be very impressive

Beautiful pics! BF isn't too shabby either!!!

The air looks so clear and refreshing there - not at all like the hazy and humid weather here on the East Coast this time of year. I'm jealous....

    Great photos Amy!
You go to some of the most beautiful places and take great pictures when you get there.
I'm really jealous of all the blue sky photos, we have had so many cloudy, rainy days here in the northeast this summer.
It's nice to see a few photos of you with the new boyfriend.
Rachel, Anna and I are waiting for more details, do the dogs like him?
Is he a U2 fan? Is he ready to travel to Vegas for a U2 concert?
