My first wedding as a hired photographer.

The wedding I did pictures for went AMAZING. I'm so happy with how the pictures turned out. Here's a few of my favorites. Meet Sami and Greg.

    Sami and her dad...

I realy dont want to be a downer here because those are great pitures.

But since they paid you to take the pics, dont they own them?

ETA: Are those digital or film?

    He spikes his hair now...

Schmutty... she had a problem with her eye for a while and lost a lot of the hair around it, but she's fine now. (notice her nails are painted )

See my little man with his hands "scoped" around his eyes? He was trying to find us in the audience, lol.

Here he is in the play, "The Grouchy Ladybug"... he was the Grouchy Ladybug...

    Scopey eyes again... lol.

    That's all!

Should have specified, lol. I wasn't paid -- pro bono, basically. It was a very low-cost wedding and they couldn't afford to pay me, and I'm not concerned at all. It was my first "big gig" and it was really fun.

    And they're digital. I have a Nikon D40 DSLR with a 55-200mm VR lens.

No idea if you have any suggestions, but if I wanted to start charging, how much do you think I should charge? For Sami, I'm just putting her pictures on a CD and she can do whatever with them.

Since is all digital, charge per pic they want to buy. If you took film it would be per pic taken.

How many pics did you take for the wedding?

Im an AH, so if I where a photographer, Ild make the client browse through all of the pics and choose the ones they wanted and charge them acordingly.

Film would be for every pic taken, digi would be for every pic they bought.

I dont know what the overhead is so I cant give advice on what to charge.

Find out what other pro photographers are charging in your area and go from there.

Great pictures!! I especially like the close-ups of the hands with the rings, under the flowers.

    Congrats on the good job!

I'm not trying to start anything, but did you get their permission to post their pics here? Some folks don't want pics of themselves posted on the internet. I would be more than upset if someone put up pics of me without my permission. - that's an invasion of my privacy.

Great pictures with MY dream camera!! I love the fuscia look. It gives it an antiqueish look.
