Since when did we become a rescue..? (Cuteness Warning)

Ever since we started volunteering at the pound we have put in so many hours towards the animals' welfare. As a result, it seems our house is sometimes temporarily turned into a rescue itself. It also gives reason for my more-often absence from PT.

Here are just the visitors we have had today:

We have raised these kittens since they were two weeks old. This week they are all going to their homes if their families are ready to take them. Oh, what I would give for the little orangie to stay! I must admit that I am rather smitten with her... she is such a drama queen.

This little gal was only here for an hour or so after being vet checked. She will spend only one more night at the pound, as her new family is coming in to get her tomorrow! She is going to be helping out on her new family's farm soon. :-)

Now, on the count of three....
    One... two.... three.... Awwwwwwwww!

Mum & babies were surrendered to the pound last week. Luckily, a Boston rescue has contacted us and is willing to take all three into their care. What a blessing! The pound is no place for a mum to raise her young... its very stressful there. So we just got back from taking this little family to be transported to a rescue. Wish them luck in the lives they have ahead of them!

Isn't mum pretty? She doesn't have a name... though she has been nicknamed "Milk Bags".

She loved it at our house! She is a bit on the skinny side, but other than that, she is in very nice condition. A nice surprise after seeing so many neglected dogs come through the pound.

    The little boy...

Here he is again. Just look at that tummy!

    The little girl...

    And here she is again.

Sorry the pictures are rather big... I thought I resized them more. If they pose a problem just PM and I will try to make them smaller.

    Thanks for looking!

Great pictures!!!! They're all so cute!! The Boston with the babies is more than I can take. I hope Carmen is ok and doesn't fall on the floor after seeing those three. Those puppies are so cute--I could eat them up!! What a bunch of adorable kitties, and, that precious pup is as cute as can be. I love that pink nosie. Thanks for sharing!! You've made my night!

I got tears in my eyes when I saw the Bostons. Soooo cute!!!
Yeah, I'd have to snag one of those kittens as well. It's funny that they are all four different. And you know orange girls are rare, right?
And of course the puppy going to the farm is to die for. Those sad little eyes.
Can I come live with you?!?! LOL
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Yeah, my sister thought it was rather funny when I insisted on double... triple checking after she told me that it was a girl. I really would love to keep her, but I will take solace in the fact that she will be going to a wonderful home.
Good news for me, though! The little black kitten and tabby kitten will be staying here an addition two weeks. Their new owners won't be able to make it down to pick them up until then, so I get to spoil them some more.
