Prayers for Momcat's family please...

I just received a short email from Eileen telling me her beloved Mom passed away yesterday.

I'm asking everyone here on PT to keep her and Mike in your thoughts and prayers, and possible light a candle in her Mom's memory.

RIP sweet lady.

To all of my dear PT friends,

Words cannot begin to express how very much all of your prayers and good thoughts mean to Mike and me during this difficult time.

Mom was in poor health for quite some time. In the past 9 years Mom suffered 2 major strokes, had 2 surgeries to remove 3 brain tumors, ovarian cancer, kidney failure, a fourth brain tumor, a third stroke, and serious internal bleeding. For the past few months Mom was unable to communicate verbally. Today would have been her 88th birthday.

Knowing Mom's condition really hasn't made this any easier. Somehow we expect our parents to live forever. She's with God now, a better place to be.

Eileen, {{{hugs}}} and prayers to you and your family.

I, too, think my mom will live forever, even though my brain KNOWS that isn't possible. But our moms are part of us forever, and that feeling never leaves.

What a survivor your mom was with all those health issues! I hope she was able to enjoy life as much as possible.
