Remember this lovely girl?


She is paying me daily and nightly visits. The other night she was at the door...


Then the next day


and NOW, she is bringing FRIENDS with her! This is the second friend she has brought, the day before it was a grey boy, then she shows up with this one today...



I have it figured out... she wants FOOD! I take out food for her, she eats and then is gone.. TWICE a day!! I also think she wants inside. I caught her with her grey friend looking in the kitchen window where Giz sits on the perch all the time and as you can see, Samantha is smitten with her every time she shows up..

I'm afraid you've been "marked", girlie. This was an every day occurrence when I lived at my other house and the cats just kept on coming. They know where to go.

She came back again today and brought ALL her friends with her.. I hope this is all of them anyway. They run away when I open the door but she stays for food and love.. See the grey boy on the concrete? And that beautiful blackie in the grass?

When they look up at you like that, it just melts my heart. They know exactly what they're doing, too.

Laura ~ We have 2 visitors every now and then. I finally put out a small feeder for them.


Before I bought the feeder, I used an old flower pot but that didn't work out so well. As I watched from the kitchen, the ravens swooped down and ate all the food!

I put the feeder in the back yard under a little porch. The cats can get to it but the ravens haven't found it yet.

I wanted to put out a larger one, but since we've seen bears and coyotes behind our house, we're afraid too much food will attract them. That probably would be a problem for you but squirrels...oppossum...raccoon.....

The please give me something to eat look, the please dont chase me away look and the please be My Friend look all in one.
And we always leave something nice for Our Guests that the Porch Angels send around, they just love the Meat Ends that we buy at 2 dollars a pound.
Lots of Ham, Cicken Slices and Meat Loaf to delight our Visitors last night!!!

The problem is, what she don't eat is immediately covered with ANTS!... and what happens when I go back to work? I need to talk to that man she belongs to but I haven't seen him walking his dogs today.

YEP! I keep saying they are a lot smarter than people think they are and yes, it melts my heart too.. I see that same begging in her eyes that I use to see in Samantha's before she was mine.

That is just too cute. She is so pretty, and I think it is so cool she is bringing her friends over to meet you. I wish I had a visitor that came to see me everyday.
