Tonight Pat Summitt won her 1000th game as coach of the women's basketball team at the University of Tennessee. No other coach, male or female, is even close. Oh yes, during that time, 35 years, she has lost only 187 games.
Her first win was in January 1973; there were 53 fans in the stands that evening.
I was so glad I was able to watch history in the making.
