The Cats' Inaugural Ball

Hear ye, hear ye!
Cassie here. My meowmom is tired of cold and snow and wants to have a party. We figure that the inauguration of a President is a good occasion. Since there are already a number of inauguration balls and dances planned, we decided to add one more. So, all the kitties and people out there, please come to a winter soirée in Chicago on January 20th. Black tie optional, fur coats probably necessary. My meowmom said that even if your person didn't vote for the incoming Prez, come anyway because your person either voted or knew of someone who did. We might have had different opinions on who would have been best for the next President but we can still celebrate that as a country everyone got a chance to vote for whoever they preferred. The process worked again. Meowmom said she would have the caterer serve chicken, fish and catnip for us.

Oh Yay! Calvin & Hobbes would very much like to attend. We were planning to celebrate here in SF anyway! We have our red, white and blue bow ties pressed and ready.

Filou and Tigris want to know whether Europeans can come too? After all they were looking for a change as well

(Even if the new president seems to be a dog person).

Plus they wonder if there will be Chicago deep dish pizza for the celebration.

My name is Pinot Noir (little Miss Noir to Dad) - so guess what I'll bring!

I'm very fond of cheese (but never get it), so pizza sounds great!
My parents & I are looking forward to HOPE & CHANGE (& possibly dignity) ourselves!

Peony, Sydney, Poppy, Elmer, Bob, and Sparkler would like to respond to this invitation. They say "YES, WE CAN!!!!!" and will be there.

And they vote for all the cats of other nationalities represented on PT to be included in the invite:"YES, THEY CAN, TOO!!!!!"

What a lovely idea! Samantha, Daisy and Jessica have never been to the inauguration of a President. It sounds very grand. I am sure that they would love Chicago.

You know that the Found Cats will attend with Animal Welfare Association Toys, and take out from the Sam aka Shemp, PreciousLa Purrecta and BJ The Bold Poco Loco, and the Pouncer The First Cat and Mr Scrappy the Super Tony Romas.
And The Porch Angels will come with take out from the 8 restaurants in thier Porch Angel Strip Mall icluding a Manadrin Chinese Buffet.
This affairs really going to be One Great Party with the Animal Angel Army bringing treats from Tahiti, where they are staying that week.
This is going to be Some Kinda Fun, in the words of the late amd much missed Frankie Venom, of the group Teenage Head.

Its Party Time!!.

Tabby and Sasha would like to attend also. Since we aren't too far from Chicago (maybe a couple of hours drive) I have told them that they can take the car and drive themselves. I will spring for the gas money.

Tabby would like to know how late the party will go. She is 20, so an early evening for her may be necessary.

Both are excited about the fish! They LOVE tuna!

THE FOUND CATS AND ANGELS ARE RESTING UP FOR THAT BIG PARTY.
THEY WOULDNT MISS THAT FOR THE WORLD!!!

AND THE PORCH ANGELS WILL THERE TOO IN FULL FORCE, APPETITES AT THE RAEDY , AND WILL TAKE ANIMAL BAGS FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE ONES TOO.

Meowmom ordered deep dish from Pizzeria Uno. She likes their pizza for its crust (we think they use part corn meal in the recipe) and I like it because she always gives me a little piece without sauce on it. I told her we must have fish and chicken.
