Christmas Eve at our house (some pics)

Here in Germany, we unpack our gifts on Christmas Eve. I spent the evening at my mother's and Reinhold's house. Unfortunately, my sister won't arrive before Saturday, so it's been only the three of us together. But it's been a nice evening. I had made a book for my mother and Reinhold, a book telling stories about their time at Tillyschanze, and with many photos included. Believe me, I couldn't wait to see their faces!

I already knew that I would get new clothes. This was truly necessary, because after losing 66 lbs, my old clothes are no longer fitting. LOL

Here are some impressions of our little party, not very exciting, as I have to admit! LOL

Size 40! (M) Yay!!! (wore XXL half a year ago)

Later that evening, we were watching Titanic on tv... We won't have our Christmas dinner before the weekend, because we wanted my sister to be with us.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your family and loved ones today! Feel free to share your photos here, if you like. Would be interesting to see how everyone else spent the day.

You had what a lot of people wish they had, Kirsten, a Christmas eve w/family. As you say, it may not have been the most exciting but who needs excitement when you have the most important of all: love. Merry Christmas, my cyber friend.
    Blessings,
    Mary

And a very Merry Christmas to you Kirsten! Everything looks so pretty and what a cozy setting. Congratulations on your new clothes and new figure to go with them. Over here in the US a size 40 is quite large for a woman. haha! I know that sizes vary from country to country but I don't know what the equivalent would be here .... maybe a size 8 (??) Anyway, congratulations and thank you for allowing us to have a peek into your celebration.

Exactly! The most beautiful gift was that my mother looked so happy when she saw the book.

Thanks! Well, I'm always confused when it comes to converting sizes, they vary even in the European countries. According so several converters I've tried, the German size 40 must be 10, or 12 in the US. One converter said 8, so I'm really not sure about it... LOL

Sounds like you had a nice Christmas eve, Kirsten - og your mother looks so happy with that book you made. What a great idea!

I had a nice Christmas too, and I may post some pictures later. Got a CD with the previpous years' Christmas's too.

It's always nice to get som clothes isn't it - your pants look very nice. I believe a size 40 would be a size 10 in USA, and probably a 12 or 14 in the UK. Gosh, you're about the same size as me now! I remember one time when I squeezed myself into a pair size 8! That was before I turned 30 though. LOL!

    Enjoy your holidays!

WOW! Your pictures are as usual, the BEST! It does look like she liked that book!

You lost 65 pounds!!!??? WOW! That's a LOT! I know about the clothes thing.. I lost 47 pounds and I have had to buy new clothes just about every other month this last year.. I am finally at 123# now and have finally figured out how to maintain it there. I planned to stop at 130# but kept loosing. I wear a size 4 to 8 pants, depending how they are made.. (USA size) Congratulations on the weight loss! (I bet you look as skinny as I do now!)

    Kristen,

Your photos remind me so much of Christmas spent in Austria with my husband's family. Christmas Eve was always the best - so festive and beautiful in every way.

I hope you had a very special Christmas.

Yeah- that's a German family Christmas. And our size 40 is a US 10. Kirsten is rather tall, so a ten is really slim

It looks as though you had a lovely day, and you really look fabulous. I hope you are enjoying all those new small clothes!

I think that book looks absolutely wonderful. What a great idea to give someone. And, of course, I know the photographs in it will be absolutely stunning.

Yes, it's been nice, and my mother said they really liked the book. They show it to every visitor.

Lut and Laura, congrats on your weight loss! I still need to find out how to maintain it. It's actually more difficult than losing weight.

My sister is in town for a visit these days, so it's still some Christmas spirit around here. Yesterday, I received her gift, a wooden toilet seat!
