    Hi Snowey's Mom....
I don't even know what a Cairn Terrier looks like. Do you have one? Could you post a picture? I'd love to see one. I'm Mom to two Golden Retrievers.

Hi, I don't have any Cairins, but I do have their cousins, the Westies. I have two, and they are very good. Here is my Westie. He looks sorta like Scruffy, the Cairn that was Dog of the day in March.

Reece has a friend, Garbo, who is a cairn terrier. He doesn't see her much because she lives 3 hours away but we still love her. They are great little dogs.

    Just like Toto! So cute.

I have heard that Carrin terriers are very loyal dogs, more so than most. My friend had one who went out hunting with his grandfather one time. They came across a bear and the carrin terrier,as small as it was, stood up to the bear and had to be pulled away. Call it stupity if you want but I like to think of it as loyalty. She always used to roll over everytime I came to the door for a tummy rub. She has passed away years ago but whenever I think of a carrin terrier I think of her. We'll miss you Mrs. Woody.

I think Carrins are so cute. They are a big dog in a little dog's body. They take on anything no mater what the size the opponent is. They are like little energy bunnies, They keep going and going and....

I have a cross Border Terrier / Lakeland Terrier, she is called Bracken and she is 10 months old. Last week we had a holiday in cumbria in the Lakedistrict of England so you could say we took her to her native home for a while. Bracken adores our two small children, I think the dog thinks she is a child. If you do not know what a BT looks like if you have ever seen Disney's show "Honey I've Shrunk The kids" the BT dog in the show is the double of Bracken. Even our 2 year old daughter screams at the telly when it comes on "Bracken's on the telly."
I think the BT's are distantly related to cairns, they certainly have the same character.

I don't have a Cairn Terrier, just a big ol' Rottweiler. Well, actually he's not old, he's only 4 years old. My next door neighbor has a Cairn Terrier named Tubby. He's a cutey, but sometimes he can get annoying. There's a Cairn at one of the dog clubs I go to named Tartan. He's very well trained and he is such a sweety!
