    Cat food brands. Which one?

Once the dry food that came with my boys is close to gone ( they gave me a 25 pound bag) i want to switch them to something better then the friskies. What does everyone else here feed? With Wally RB i fed Nutro but im always on the search for something better. I also just feed 9 lives wet and was wondering if anyone had an input on that either? Thanks!

I used to feed my cats Nutro Complete Formula but then Storm got crystals and became blocked and then needed PU surgery. Then later on Starr couldn't handle Storm's new presciption food which was Royal Canin Urinary S/O because he developed IBD. I have to feed all 6 cats the same kind of food or else they get jealous of the others and won't eat.

Now I feed all of them a grain free diet which is Innova Evo. I also give both Storm and Sunny the Innova Evo 95% Turkey & Chicken formula. They all love it and only need to eat about 1/2 cup of the dry a day because it's high in calories and protein. Each 15.4lb bag of dry food lasts me about 1 month and that's with feeding 6 cats. It's more expensive than many of the other dry foods but it's a better quality food and doesn't have all of the fillers that most dry cat foods do. Good luck.

I am currently using Hill's Science Diet. Pinot eats the Indoor Cat (dry) in the morning and I mix a little of the moist Science Diet that comes in a pouch for her dinner. She eats every crumb and has no trouble. We had previously raised cats on Purina with no issues (in the days when there wasn't as much choice!), but when we got Pinot from the SPCA the Science Diet was given to us, and she had bad health issues, so we stuck with it because it was what she knew. She is healthy now and has a very good appetite!

I've been having good luck with Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers Soul so far (been using it for less than a year though).

I had previously fed both Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin, but since the huge pet food recall they have changed their ingredients or something because I either ended up with vomiting cats or cats not wanting to eat. I did not have that problem with the Hills pre-food recall.

I've been having really good luck with Royal Canin Sensitive #33. No cats barfing, they love the flavor too.

I was using Nutro, but they changed their formula when they were bought by another company(talked to a rep this weekend). We went from happy kitties to barfing kitties really quickly.

My retired vet recommended Purina Cat Chow when I first rescued my RB Peeka in '91, my current vet recommends it, too, and I've fed the Fur Posse nothing ever since. No vomiting, no allergies, no problems whatsoever. I've recently added a couple of tsp. of wet food to their diet but Purina has been a staple. No cat food is any good if they won't eat it plus Purina Cat Chow has never been on a recall list and it's inexpensive.
    Blessings,

I have been feeding my one kitty Charlie "It's a Good life recipe". My vet said it was nutritionly balanced and he loves it to pieces! It comes in both chicken and salmon flavored. I have had no problems with it, like alergies, etc. I wanted to buy him the Innova Evo, but I cant afford it. This has worked as a nice substitute! Good luck finding the perfect food for your babies!
    Sincerely,
    Kat
