Andy update! UPDATE POST 36!!!!

Andy had his bandage removed yesterday, and his ear looks WONDERFUL. No bleeding, but it still looks raw/meaty. He does not act like he is in any pain.

He is still being a very sweet boy, purring and begging for belly pets. He had some special treats, and is enjoying napping on my bed with the "special blanket"!

This is a wonderful update! I am so happy for you and Andy. You must be breathing a huge sigh of relief right about now. It's pretty much over now. All up hill from here.

WE ARE SO GLAD THAT ANDYS HOME AND IS BACK TO BEING HIS OLD CUDDLEBUG SELF ONCE MORE.
AND THESE ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN, SCRAPPY 2 THE SENSATIONAL GOT OUT DESPITE THE ENCLOSED PORCH, AS I WAS UNAWARE THAT SHE SNUCK OUT ON THE PORCH AND HWEN I THOUGHT I SHUT THE DOOR A GUST OF WIND FORCED IT OPEN.
THANK GOD MICHELLE HAD MAIL, AND SCRAPPY 2 RAN IN THE HOTEL/
ALL IT TAKES IS BEING BUSY AND A CAT THAT DOES SOMETHING SILLY TO CAUSE SOMETHING THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS.

Great news!! All of us here are so happy to hear about Andy's improving condition, esp. his ear. You must have had an extra-special Thanksgiving this year.

Andy is no doubt living the good (spoiled) life!!!

Well, goodness! If the fur grows back, it will look like just a smaller ear.

It still makes a good airplane!

Is he still on pain meds? I guess he will be for a while. I hope his liver levels improve soon.

Candace, yes, those airplane ears wont EVER be unworkable, unless of course he has the whole ear removed

No, his last day of pain meds were yesterday. Since his liver levels are still high, they dont want to continue any meds that arent absolutely needed. Poor guy, but he really does not seem in pain.

He is on ear ointment, for infection and to keep it moist and not itchy. He really hates that!

He looks great! I didn't realize that he was going to be able to keep so much of his ear, that is awesome! The picture of him with the pain meds kicking in is priceless. He looks pretty loopy! lol The other cats are looking at him as if he is from another planet with that saturn ring around his neck.
