My boss had to help her beloved Cairn Terrier Grant to the bridge yesterday. He was 13 years old and was suffering from several ailments including diabetes. They started out giving him insulin shots but after the 3rd one he became so agressive when they went to give them, attacking his daddy, that the decided it was time. Even yesterday when her husband reached down to pet him a final goodbye he lunged at him thinking he was going to be held down for a shot.
