    Yesterday's walk...

I decided to take all 3 dogs to the little park by my house yesterday. Will probably be the last time I do that though. The shelties just have different exercise needs than the monster and they get too excited from his energy and over do it. Plus I have to make sure he has a toy in his mouth so that he doesn't hunt Clipse...

    Anywho here are the pics...

Sitting at the car waiting to be released. Obviously not really posed...I just told them to sit where they landed when they jumped out.

    Okay!

I decided to stagger their sit/wait in order of speed so that I could avoid any start line collisions... lol

Mony just loves this ball. Not sure why... probably because it's new (well new to him)

And of course Em can't move her feet without moving her mouth...

    *Thanks Ashley*

    Another staggered wait.

Okay. Notice Clipse breaking to the left. This is because he ONLY does clockwise circles. Yep there's some wires crossed in that pretty little head of his...

Mr. Happy... nothing ever gets this guy down.

Em picking up the frisbee ring thing...

Em gives Ramone hell for beating her to the ball.

She decides to play with the rope I also brought.

One of Em's favorite toys. Note Clipse "herding" her back to me. In his younger days he would actually leap over her back. Now he just cuts in behind her as close as he can.

    *Thanks Ashley*

Tired girl on the way back to the car.

    That's all! Hope you enjoyed!

I always enjoy seeing pictures of your pups. You catch such great action shots.

It's so funny how any activity involving Shelties has "herding" going on in their little minds! It brings a whole different dynamic to play time, doesn't it?

since day one I´ve been in love with Clipse... I love him sooo much... love the herdign shots... have you tried him on herding trials (sorry if i missed any of this topic)

Em is really cute running and barking.. LOL... well I say that as I can´t really hear her...LOL

and Ramone.. well... he just is a big huggable bear... and does gives Clipse a taste of his own medicine by herding him.. ...

I would have though Shelties were more hyper that a Rottie... note: hyper meaning more dificult to tire out.. hehe

Both of my shelties have their herding instinct certificates. Emily was actually much better on sheep though than Clipse. Clipse didn't really care about the sheep, he just wanted to be with me. Em thought making those sheep go where she wanted was awesome though... lol

I would think about getting Mony tested, but I have a feeling he would just like to eat the sheep...

As for the shelties being hyper.... Emily is 11 years old (12 next month) and Clipse will be 9 in Feb. So they definitely do not need as much exercise as Mony who is only 3. But they have always been easy dogs even when they were young. Ramone on the other hand NEEDS constant exercise or else he is impossible to live with.

I don't want to be preachy but I really advise you teach your dogs to wait in the car until they are released. I used to work at a grooming shop on a very busy road and I saw a woman's chihuahua get hit by a car because it jumped out when she opened the door. All of my dogs are taught right away that they are not to leave the car if the door is open unless I say it's okay. I even enforce that rule when I am babysitting a dog, such as my bf's dad's dog.

Great pictures, as always! I never though I'd say it, but I actually do miss Ramone a little, as hard as he was at times.

Looks like fun Autumn's face looks just like Em when she's on a run and bark spree. We call her the referee.
