    Veep Debate

Palin needs to stop tap dancing. LOL

But did I just hear Joe say, "not only reduce the intrest rate, but ALSO the PRINCIPLE..." How? Is the gubment gonna give my bank money towards my principle?

    Wow...

    Carry on.

Aarrrrgh! This is Gov. Palin's only debate and apparently no one told her to say "nu-klee-year" instead of "nu-kyuu-lur" like Dubya. I'm lost and confused! I was lost and confused from the moment Sen. Biden started talking around his first question.

I was in the kitchen and had to look around the corner when I heard that....

I think that is a strong sign of the JM/SP ticket keeping the GWB legacy alive!

    --------

I loved the comment by Biden about "Going into Home Depot and asking people about what they think about the government"

WTF do people care about the government when they just need a washer for a faucet? A plunger for the sink or a wax gasket for the toilet?

Sheesh, I'd like to see the tape from the last time JB was in a Home Depot in his home town.

I have heard economists - no particular political affiliation - talk about working with banks to help people who are at risk of foreclosure renegotiate their loans, and that includes in some cases the bank agreeing to lower the principal, rather than having to deal with the costs and expenses of foreclosing on a property. So it wouldn't be the "gubment" giving the bank money, it would be the bank agreeing to take less money from you.

I watched the dabate and it seems to me that Palin has about as much brains as Bush. Talks the same, thinks the same.
Biden sounded very intelligent and he made me feel safe.

Now I know how Palin got those gorgeous legs from... dancing DANG IT I need to try that lol.

However, I still agree with JM/SP more than OB/JB.

There is no way that Palin has the brains to be a president. Does anyone feel safe with her? With her finger on the bottom? Sitting across from world leaders?
They will laugh at her, if they even agree to speak to her.
Palin should stick to the PTA and taking care of her daughter and upcoming grandchild. She also has a special needs child which is a full time job. Unless nannies will raise him.

...so your saying a woman can't have kids and still hold a high energy job? Yay woman's movement.

I actually thought she did better than expected...they were both dancing...but they danced a hell of alot less than the presidents did during their debate.

    She's a runner, too.

    Nice tailored suit.

I looked out my front door this evening and I saw the moon.

Does that make me a an expert on Earth/Moon policies?

    LOL, I love CNBC.

Keith Olbermann did a post-debate dissection of the hour and it started with a not-so-favorable assesment. That dude is really a piece of work.

    My question is this.....

Why does someone like Tim Russert leave is too soon and we are left with a half witted former sports anchor from Lost Angeles to rail on about politics?

I have the utmost belief in what ever powers that run the universe that he will soon talk himself out of that coveted prime time job he has.

Actually, I'd really want for his head to explode while he is on the air.Kinda like the physical slapstick that Chris Farley used to do when SNL was funny.

Did I mention that I can see the moon from my front door?

Well, two teams got whooped tonight.

The fricking Cubs were one, and the Old Guy playing Left Field.

Errr... Sure. I am sure the banks would do that "in good faith".

But if true, how do I get in on that gold mine? Or do we, the people who pay our bills, get screwed again? Why do we continue to punish success in the country?

Let's tax the big evil companies.... "Windfall" profits....

I thought OB and JB were about change and not the typical liberal line of thinking...

    <sigh>

Serisously... Why be successful? Live past your means and somebody will bail you out. It's nothing but bulldookie.

    Ok debate

Well, I thought the debate went smoothly, much more smoothly than I had expected. I thought Palin had prepared much better than for her interviews. I was happy than Biden didn't shoot himself in the foot. They were both on their best behavior. I would have liked for Palin to have told us how McCain's administration would be different from Bush's. She let that opportunity go and I can only assume she didn't have an answer. She did answer questions on her own terms, sometimes avoiding the answer to the question, entirely.

All in all, the handlers did a fair job of preparing SP for the display. I still think she is not educated enough or experienced enough for the VP job - and not the person I want representing me as a VP or a P. She scares me to death.

I suspect the next couple of debates will be very important and I trust the candiates will be prepared. I don't expect the polls to change dramatically unless one candidate screws up some how. McCain seems to be dropping in the polls. We shall see.

    My Grade on the debate:

    Biden A- (boring)
    Palin C+ (duh)

Did Palin have something in her eye or was she constantly "winking" at the audience???

I thought Palin is a great tap dancer. She danced around just about every question asked. What about the plan to withdraw troops from Iraq? Why didn't they bring up the environment and the $150 bounty Palin put on the heads of wolves, who are on the endangered species list?? What about the polar bears? Nothing was mentioned about their troubles. Not only are they starving, they are also drowning because the ice caps are melting at an alarming rate. Yet Palin wants to, as she put it so eloquently, "Drill baby, DRILL".

And her pronunciation of Nuclear aggravated the crap outta me.

McCain and Palin are nothing more than Bush's puppets. Palin was very well rehearsed.

Last night's debate solidified my vote for Obama.
