    Flood *pics*

yesterday morning we got a ton of rain and it ended up flooding half the town. Nothing horrible but alot of flooded streets and some businesses plus alot of basements and yards.

we got about 3-4 feet of water in our basement and at least a foot or more in the front yard and the back yard and the garage at one of my parents houses.
so everything that was in the basement got ruined plus the stuff we had in the garage and the poor doggies were standing in about 6 inches of water before I realized it was flooding outside but i rushed out as soon as I realized it and put their crates up out of the water

obviously not as bad as the people who lost their homes down south from the hurrican but just thought i'd share..

Wow. I didn't know any northern states had received flooding...how unfortunate.

We lost everything in our basement when our town flooded over spring break... so I know how it feels and my heart is going out to you! I hope the water resides quickly and the mess is cleaned up without problems!

    Good vibes headed that way.

That's it, I'm never complaining about my lousy 6 inches of water in my basement and 3 inches of water in the back yard again. lol

I hope you guys get dried out there soon.

I think you guys up north got it worse that we did (around Baton Rouge). They kept calling for rain here and flooding from the rain but we hardly got any rain from Ike. I think you guys north of us got ALL the rain.

Oh wow..... I cannot believe my eyes. You poor thing. I'm sooo sorry. I will keep this in my prayers, that this all dries up in no time, and that no further damage is done....

That's awful. The doggies look like they weren't too enthused about swimming out of their crates. I hope it dries up soon. My town still has badly flooded areas from TS Fay. I drove by some neighborhoods yesterday that were still lakes.

    I've been Boo'd...

    That really sucks
    Luckly you all are ok.

Didn't get much rain up here from the hurrican you guys had down south. But my god the rain we got over the summer! We didn't break, we shattered rain records! A street down the road from where I work washed away a month+ ago. Took them nearly a month to reopen it.

On a reg bases I was walking through swampy grass to take Digi out to potty, cause it was always raining & the ground was over saturated.

Dad is in PEI & he said the transcanada had a massive sinkhole in it from the insane amount of rain they had gotten this summer as well.

Oh & that hurrican you guys had, must have moved what Low that has been covering Toronto all summer (what was causing the non-stop rain), cause its actually cold & SUNNY!! MY GOD I CAN SEE THE SUN!! Uncool in the am driving to work though >_>

However all this rain is greatly appreciated as its filling up the lakes again, which have been steadly lowering over the years. Sucks for fun & the farmers, but it'll keep us alive longer.
