Yes, I recall an interview with the whole family, and the girls were asked by the interviewer what they were looking forward to, and the youngest immediately said, "A puppy!" As soon as the election is over, regardless of the results, the girls have been promised a puppy, for their patience with the whole campaign uproar. Both parents confirmed that.

I wish they would go the rescue route & adopt from a shelter.
Shelters have all breeds available.
