I call my cat Sweetie all the time, but yours really is! What a gorgeous boy you have; he'd be a great Halloween kittie. I hope you enjoy many years together.

Sweetie, you look so much like my blackie Boo Bear in his younger days. And you both like to open cupboard doors. Boo gets trapped inside on occasion, though. You sure are a handsome panther boy and much deserving of your title of COTD.![]()

Sweetie I love your name! That alone gives us a hint as to just what a sweetheart you are. You look so much like my grandcat, Guinness. You could be brothers. What a nice meowmie you have to give you your very own drawer. We know that if you only had a thumb you would clean up your toys and put them away.
You certainly have a great life and we all couldn't be happier. Congratulations to you Sweetie - our sweet and handsome Cat of the Day!

Yeah, T-Town! What a wonderful shiny melanistic! We were just blessed with a new arrival, a solid black little sickly boy who almost lost a leg to a parasite. He has hopes of being COTD already, as he has gone from "hissing fingerbiter" to "please rub my belly" in one week's time. Another feral socialized! Naturally, we are located east of Tulsa in the rural area. Thanks for being part of the solution here in Oklahoma and may Sweetie thoroughly enjoy reigning as COTD!
Sweetie, you are certainly a handsome young man! You do have the look of a little panther -- and such an elegant shiny coat!
Congratulations on Cat of the Day, Sweetie -- have a great celebration!
Hello Sweetie - I must say that you are quite the black beauty! What a life you have, having full reign of the house and no need to compete for your human`s attention. That is funny, though, about you and the cat noises on the computer! How adorable that must be to see! And what a smart boy you are, to be able to open your toy drawer all by yourself. Have a great day, "parlour panther!"

Happy Cat of the Day beautiful Sweetie, a.k.a "Parlour Panther!"Both names suit you equally, sweetheart!
Wow, you are a smartie, learning to open up drawers with your paws!
But of course, like most kids, you need a bit of work on part deux, closing the drawer! hehe What a mean Mommy, playing those computerized kitty sounds! lol I do that with my guinea pigs too; drives them batty!
You and your Mom sound like the perfect pairing Sweetie, two independent sorts with a sense of humor and lots and lots of love to share
Thanks for the laughs and smiles, Sweetie! It was a pleasure meeting you today! I hope you and your proud Mom are enjoying a very happy day celebrating your well earned Cat of the Day kudos! Please ask her to pass along some cuddles, belly rubs (that silky fur
) and kisses from me!

I did a double take when I opened COTD yesterday--Sweetie looks exactly like my Indigo (who's 3)! And I mean EXACTLY: same long legs, round eyes, shiny coat, exquisite rounded back when sitting. People who see Indie always wonder if he's part something else, like Burmese or Siamese. I have no way of knowing, but have done some research anyway. Which has pointed me in a few directions (including part Ragdoll, because of his coat, chubby long-haired belly, Buddha nature, and the fact that he goes limp when you pick him up) but nothing definitive. If you ever find out that Sweetie is a mix, I'd appreciate if you post and let me know. Congrats to your beautiful boy.
Sorry I'm a bit late, Sweetie, but I wonder if a lovely silky coat isn't a characteristic of black shorthair kitties. Zerlina my bikini girl has the silkiest fur I've ever seen on a cat!
Hope your day was as sweet as you!
Liz
