Paizly's vet visit

Paizly went to the vet today for her free kitten check up. They gave me a box of goodies for her too.
They did combo testing on her and all is negative!! WOO HOO!! She weighs 3.3lbs. The vet put her age at 10 weeks, so her bday on her records is 5/5/08. A Cinco de Mayo baby. She got her first round of shots.
As Cathy knows her meow is so quiet you can barely hear it sometimes. Well, I got to hear it slightly louder than that on my way home from picking her up. But tonight....OH MY GOODNESS!! You would have thought I caught her tail in something. She did the deep loud meow with a little growl on the end. Then when they had her in the back for testing I could hear her in the room I was in!!
She is settling in nicely here. I'm not going to let her roam the house for another week though. Sorry, but I'm just paranoid #1 about Taz and #2 she's so darn teeny I'm afraid she'll get lost! But she has fallen asleep on my tummy twice now. In fact I had to move her just now so I could come type this up (not to mention my butt was numb). When I go in the room she meows and insists I pet her. So I sit on the floor with her and she stands up with her front paws on my chest and rubs her face on mine. (she doesn't do this with Bruce...heehee)

So, I uploaded a bunch of pictures from my camera and then to photobucket. I promise in the morning when I get to work I will post them here. But right now I just wanna go to bed with my Tazmo. Oh yeah, and Zoee.

I'm glad to hear that her vet visit and check up went well. She sure sounds like a little sweetheart and hopefully Taz will learn to accept her. I look forward to seeing some new pictures of her.

Sounds like everything is going great. Do you realize that Joey pup at almost 9 months old is smaller than Paizley. Joey only weighs 2 pounds 8 ounces!

I am sure Taz will come around. It just takes time to feel comfortable with letting them be together unsupervised.

I am glad she tested negative and is in good health. She is one VERY lucky kitty

You might notice she has a different collar on. The purple one was too big and she likes to chew on the bell. She always had it in her mouth, which scared me. And Bruce said she had gotten her leg through it once too. So I went and bought the same brand that Auntie Cathy had on her and moved the purple bell to it.

Zoee 's her! If we are in the room and don't let her in she sits in the hall and whines. Paizly is always wet when Zoee is in there because Zoee likes to groom her. I was hoping it would be like this. Now the next task is Taz.

All the girls at the vet were ohhhing and ahhhing over her too. I guess they have a momma kitty in there and they said she looks like her but Paizly is much cuter. LOL

Kloe is like that. She turns on the sweetness at the vet tho and everything thinks I'm crazy that I have demon cat from hell with the scars to prove it at home. When she was just a wee baby she spent the nite at the vet for a UTI and the vet came in gushing about how sweet she was and I sitting there thinking (**and I am not joking!**) "they can not be talking about MY cat. But I'm keeping whichever one they bring me!" and I am totally serious. but it was my cat!

I don't think that'sa bad idea at all. Kloe spent a LONG time in the bathroom when I wasn't there. I have a tiny house, it was more for her safety of I didn't want her to be hurt by the big girls while I was gone or asleep.

And it's nice to hear that others have kept their kitties separate. The room she is in now is definitely her "safe haven". She wanders out into the hall but any sudden sound and she is back in the room. We will keep her there when we are not home and at night.

Last night I went in to see her and she was on my tummy almost as soon as I layed on the floor. Bruce was all - she never climbs on me. I felt so proud...heehee. But I told him it's probably because I'm squishier.
Then she wouldn't sit still and kept meowing. She'd sit and stare at herself in the mirror. I got the feeling she wanted to play with another animal. So I let Zoee in and they had a blast.
