My new Betta boy & Rudi *RIP Keenan 15/7/08*

I bought home a new Betta boy from work today, his colouring was too pretty to resist . He still has no name so suggestions are welcome.

I set the new boy up next to Rudi (my red/ purple Betta). Rudi has been acting the big tough man all evening flaring and darting around, no name has been ignoring him LOL.

No flash to show his colouring a little better, he has a few holes in his tail but they should heal up ok.

Rudi and the new boy are so handsome. Oh how much torture it must be to work at a place that sells them... and you get the first picl from anyone else! I think I'd have more than 20 within a week.

Thanks everyone . The new guy now has a name... Keenan, he has settled in beautifully and is such a friendly boy.

LOL yep it is hard being around all the gorgeous fish at work, but i know i cannot bring them all home and have to resist looking at the Betta's most days unless feeding/ cleaning them (although sometimes i have to spend time 'talking' to them).

Rudi's tail seems shorter, he looks more like a super delta than a VeilTail in that picture.

Poor Keenan looks like he has a tumour . But he is still a happy boy at the moment, is eating well (too well if i let him, the piggy). I moved him into his new tank today.


The new tank. It was one of our diplay tanks at work, i scored it for $50 with all contents including heater and small filter. It had a metalic brown gravel in it at work, but i changed it to the multi coloured stuff. I think it looks pretty good.

I'm sorry to hear about Keenan.. poor guy.. at-least he is still getting along just fine.

Sadly Keenan went down hill pretty quickly yesterday and despite medicating him he passed away about an hour ago . The poor little dude.

RIP mate, i am sorry we did not have more time together.
