PayPal credit card question - answer from PayPal #7

I have a personal account...and am researching an account to set up for the place I work for.

The one Business account looks good - but in the credit card fee section it said something about max 5 transactions over 12 months????

I can email them myself - but could take a while. Just wondering if anyone has had trouble with the # of credit card payments they can take?

    Thanks!

I'm considering upgrading my account. I only have one credit card transaction left. I guess it depends on how much you use it. I use mine a lot for drawing commissions and a lot of people want to pay with credit card.

Well, this one WOULD be an upgrade to a business account...but I'll wait and see what PayPal says.

I believe both personal and business accounts have limits but not the merchant accounts. As far as I know there aren't limits on the number of credit card payments you can take but paypal does take a % cut of the money.

Thank you, CL. I had an email back from PayPal, and it said there are differences for the Premier and Business accounts, and I could just click on this link and log in to my account, and go to Customer Service...

ummm....I emailed back and clarified that I am researching BEFORE one of these accounts is set up...duh...

But I will go have a look at the merchant account stuff and see what the deal is. Hard to make sense of it all at first.

    Thanks again.

    Dear Candace,

    Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Hello my name is Ann. I am sorry to hear about this situation and for
the inconvenience this may have caused you. I understand that you intend
to know if there are limits to credit cards transactions that can be
done using a Business PayPal account. It would be my pleasure to assist
    you with your concern.

Only Personal accounts have a limit on the number of non-eBay credit or
debit card funded payments received per year. Premier or Business
account holders can accept unlimited credit or debit card payments.

Business accounts are for account holders who have a high transaction
volume, need to accept credit card payments, plus the ability to hold
the account under a company or group name. Business account holders may give multiple users (such as business employees) different levels of
access to the account. Plus, you get comprehensive solutions for your
business, including Auction Tools, Website Payments, Email Payment
products, and PayPal as an Additional Payment Op

I would like to let you know that you are valuable to us, and it is
important for me to help you resolve your concern. If in case you feel
that these information / instructions are inadequate, please don't
hesitate to contact our Community Support Agents 1-888-221-1161 and we
would be delighted to further assist you regarding your immediate
    concern.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter, and
wish you continued success on PayPal. Rest assured that we are committed
to making your experiences at PayPal pleasant and rewarding.

    Sincerely,
    Jerly Ann
