ONE foster that need home!! URGENT!!! 7 days left

I have two foster dogs that need homes and so i'm covering all the bases and little all of you know about them too...who knows maybe one of your co-workers is lloking for one of these dogs.

Dog one is an aussi shep mix. She is spayed, approx 7 years old, no hip problems, and weighs in at 70 lbs. (some call that large - i call it bed warmer!)she would love to be an only dog and really HATES male dogs. She is a wonderful couch potato. loves to snuggle and tell you how her day went.

the other is a deaf dal puppy - approx 10 months old. This happy go lucky girl is a charmer and can win over anyone. she is at the "gotta put everything in my mouth" phase. she is spayed, weighs in at about 50 lbs...but is still growing i noticed (the collar was getting tight). she is learning her commands (hand signs) and we're working on housebreaking - so far she's winning (darn!). She is crate trained.

If you hear of anyone that may be interested please forward them over to me! [email protected] (there's an unscore between mom and 1998...mom_1998)

thanks - i'd love to have homes for these two very soon. I have photos of both too!

On the up side! it looks as though the dal will have a home in South Cal....now all i have to do is get there in the middle of moving!! (thank goodness for the transporters!!) The australian shep mix is my problem child...i am very concerned about how her story will end...its not looking good. Best friends in utah is full. tony larussas arf charges just to post a dog on a website and frankly i'm already in the dog hole and can't pay yet another fee. none of the local rescues group (except one that has my undiying love and devotion - Pet Network of Saratoga) have been able to help. HART's is full, milo is full, no one seems to want a middle aged dog - guess we have that in common!!heeheee but my fingers are crossed and i hope i don't have to make the heart breaking decision.

Well, keep your eyes and ears open - we've got to sept 3rd. here's her photo!!

    thanks all!!

Shortnen is beautiful!!! Does she have to be pts? Can you get her more time? She is so pretty, if people see her, there must be someone out there to adopt her. She is gorgeous!!! Did you say you tried Aussie rescue? How about Petfinder.org, look in the shelter and rescue area for your state. Good luck. She does not deserve to die.

I'm so happy the Dal puppy found a home. I can't imagine that there isn't a taker for beautiful Shortnen! Usually there are lot of people looking for an adult doggie, over with all of those adolescent issues It's sounds like you've tried everywhere... Did you try Aussie Rescue? Have you tried putting up flyers, newspaper ads??? This beautiful doggie is so deserving a forever home. I will be hoping and praying that she finds one soon.

Sent messages to every aussi bred group in the state and a couple outside the state....i've covered all the other bases already. my gut knows it can't abide the shelter horror and so i'll take her with me when i move and face eviction.... oh keep praying that a puppy miracle happens cuz its making me quite nuts and distraught....she's been through so much and really deserves so much more and better - bonbons and a sofa and 24 hours of soap hours and puppy spoiling.... i'm thinking flyers to all vets, rescue and pet shops in the area again.... However i have recommended Orin to a few people who where interested in Shortnen but already had other dogs!!!

    Bugmom,

Have you tried Pet Finder ? They have a section where you can post ads for free. You can also browse adds that people have posted asking for specific kinds of pets.

Shortnen is a doll. It breaks my heart to think that she may be pts. She is at a shelter now, right? If you can bail her out and keep her for the mean time, and we can try harder to help find her a home. I am going to e-mail Jackie and see if we can post this on her MSN community.

    Good Luck to you.

I posted this on For The Love of Dogs, I'm sure there is that one person out there who would love this dog and hopefully will see these posts.

Bug and Count (My two dogs) are totally approved on the lease for the apartment. So its just finding homes for DeeDee and Shortnen....I'm wondering now about the couple that want deedee as its been a couple days since i've heard from them too....(they have been big time "time flakes" throughout this process - which is extremely nerve wracking when there's lots going in your life and you just want the puzzle pieces to fit). Shortnen knows that there is big time stress and she is sticking close. She has a way that when you lie down on the bed she'll come settle next to you and put her head on your shoulder and nuzzle in with the soft head fur. Then bug lies on the other arm, count drapes across my legs and just as we begin to doze off deedee does the flying squirrel on my belly.

thank you all for your prayers and help. I really truly appreciate! i've been feeling quite overwhelmed lately and the help and kind words absolutely cheer me.
