    HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE!!!

On a sad note if my RB Pepper was still alive it would have been his 11th birthday on St. Patrick's Day. I sure do miss him.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

We had our traditional dinner today; the local Bishop asked everyone to celebrate today so as not to 'jar' Holy Week.

We also celebrated St. Joseph's Day today. Normally it is the 19th, but that was officially moved to today for this year, again to avoid a problem with Holy Week.

I'd never heard of St. Joseph's Day until I moved to RI. Apparently, it is important to eat a zeppole in celebration! A zeppole is yellow pudding, boiled, wrapped in pastry dough and either fried or baked. Seems like a great tradition to me, so I now participate! (Yes, there is a bit more to it, we do follow through.)
