Remember my upstairs druggie neighbor? Well he just died...

I have posted before about the drug problem we've been dealing with for the past two years. Well, now we don't have to deal with it anymore.

It was only a matter of time. I'm pretty sure it was an overdose, but the cops didn't tell me straight up. They also talked about Menengitis, and murder. I think it's murder. I talked to the cops for a good half hour about why I think so. So I talk to them again tomorrow. He was addicted to every drug imaginable and the drug traffic was horrible. People in and out of the house at all hours of the night.

I got to watch them photograph his body. I was the only one here who new anything. A girl called 911 but didn't give her name and won't talk to the police. An old neighbor that used to live here about a year ago with the guy that died was here this weekend for "business" is what he said. So we'll see what happens. The medical examiner just showed up. Basically we're just waiting for the coroner to take his body away. Weird...there's a dead guy upstairs from me. Kinda creepy. They tried giving him CPR for a good ten minutes but nothing happened. =/ He was already dead when the girl called 911. Crazy.

His parents were here about three months ago. They seemed so nice. I feel so bad for them. They don't even know.

Weren't you scared living there with your kids? I would have freaked out having an addict or dealer living above me. Glad things are safer for you now!

Prayers for that man's parents and family. They might have done all they could for him, and it wasn't enough.

At the same time, I am glad you and your boys are safe...and I hope that any new tenant will be quiet and good.

When they are into the bad drugs, there is nothing anybody can do. May he find peace and happiness now.

No, not really scared. They were very quiet and too into their drugs. The guy was very nice, very smart...but anyway, he's not dead!!! There's a twist!!!

My early thoughts of this being murder and leaning more towards me being right! I just went upstairs to identify a body of whom I believed to be Brad, the neighbor upstairs, however, to my surprise it was NOT Brad, but a different guy, one whom I've never seen before. Which would explain why my boyfriend saw Brad this morning.

Anyway, I just saw a man and I'm a little freaked out at the moment so if my typing doesn't make since forgive me. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's a murder.

***I am now part of an investigation. Actually, I'm pretty much key to the investigation. I will update more later. I'm still a little shakey right now.

{{{hugs}}} Can you and the boys go stay with someone for a short while? Can the cops help with that?

If Brad wasn't the guilty party...one might hope this would smarten him into getting help.

PLEASE look after your safety first! Call the police to escort you, if you three go elsewhere!

Yes, do see if you can go somewhere else for a few days, or at least until they find Brad.

Well I'm pretty sure Brad is on his way to Arkansas! After all, the old neighbor said he was here for "business" (even used hand signals!) and was to leave Saturday...now Brad's missing? Ya, people don't drive 37 hours to score drugs for business. They drive 37 hours for a planned murder and skip town and go to another state! It wasn't Brad. I was inches away from him. He looked like he had been dead for more than a few hours. I'm helping the police right now in this investigation. I have to call the medical examiner tomorrow (he gave me his home number!) and report back to him and another officer.

I spoke to Clancy on the phone (the old neighbor) and he was already on his way back to Arkansas. I called his number earlier and his phone said it was not reachable at this time? I called back when the medical examiner was here, with the phone on speaker, expecting it to go to that message again, but boy was I surprised when Clancy answered! Needless to say I was shocked. He told me they had a fist fight last night upstairs and that he had to leave early (reason he didn't say goodbye) because things upstairs were ten times worse than they were before. I talked for about a minute and then said I had to go because I got another call.

The police want me to call his girlfriend tomorrow and then casually just ask if she knows where Brad is. So either Brad helped with what happened tonight and took off, or he's ran away because he's scared and didn't want to be involved when they took his dead friend away, or he himself is dead.

I have a friend over with me right now, and my bf will be coming back over tonight, so I am not alone. Right now Kai is sleeping. BF just got here. So I feel ok right now. I will call 911 if anything happens, and will be keeping an ear out if I hear anything upstairs or see anyone at the house etc.

Can you get in trouble for posting this on the Internet if they have an ongoing investigation?

In time, when you are calm (!), speak with the landlord about getting better quality tenants in. You have little ones to think about! In many places, landlords can be liable for tenants who deal drugs, so they are usually pretty good about getting those people out.

Prayers for all of you from RI.

It is just so sad how many lives those drugs ruin and seldome does it have a happy outcome. I can not understand how anyone with a working brain could get mixed up in that stuff, can't they see what it has done to other people and how they end up?

Hope they find out soon what happened so your life can settle down!

    Jackie,

That was my thought exactly. Not only that, but I'd be more worried about being exposed to Meningitis than anything else.

I also find it hard to believe that cops would involve you in their investigation and ask you to call the girlfriend. That would be putting yourself AND your family in jeopardy. And they also wouldn't discuss any part of the case with anyone, taking the chance of jeopardizing their investigation.

You might want to call your doctor and ask about any exposure to meningitis.

Why didn't you tell the police where to go?!

If I lived below something like that happening I would be the last person to get involved.

You need to take a step back and let the police do their own work, Dont get involved in drug related problems like the people above you, its just asking for trouble IMO.
