    possible retirement

This is just in the thinking stage now, but I'm considering retirement from Longue Vue Club. I'm not getting any younger and my various health issues are coming into play. I think 46 years with the same golf course is starting to be enough. I'm getting older and the work is getting a little tougher. I'll keep on thinking of it for now.

Maybe 46 YEARS with the same employer is enough time for that employer to
FIND something a little "easier" for a Loyal Employee to do!

I'd certainly want to schedule a Meeting with the Boss to discuss alternative
job descriptions and/or possible Crew Leader status - rather than just being an
    overworked Indian of the Tribe.

There's DOZENS of lighter duty jobs at a golf course and club that don't involve the
manual labor of the Grounds Keepers ... suggest to The Boss that it's time to move you
to a less physically demanding job where your EXPERIENCE and Customer Service Skills can
    be utilized by the Course.

If your Boss won't listen - Pay a visit to the Front Office.

I agree with what Phred said. It can't hurt to try.

Yes David, Phreds idea definately sounds worth trying. Good luck!

Since you are not yet eligible for medicare, what would you do for health care insurance if you quit working?
