Ask Lady Edwina and Lord Eduardo

    Dear Edwina and Eddie,
Did you watch the Academy Awards on Sunday night? You are always so tastefully, impeccably dressed, I wonder if you have any thoughts on the best- or worst-dressed. I thought that Katherine Heigl looked very classic, and I really liked Marion Cotillard's Gaultier "mermaid" gown. She's beautiful. I didn't like Tilda Swinton's look and I was embarrassed for Mrs. Daniel Day-Lewis. I also thought Helen Mirren looked wonderful and so did Javier Bardem's mother. Are men no longer wearing bow ties with tuxedoes?

    Interestedly,
    Elyse

Edwina has always been partial to pink...so she like Carmen Diaz' dress....and she likes sparkles...so she liked Renee Zellweger's....and...she thinks Helen Mirren was hot, hot, hot (and proves that even a woman of "a certain age" can look good!)

So here is Edwina's take on her favorite Oscar looks...

And Eddie agrees with you...a man in a classic tux...can get away with anything (see George Clooney...)

That is why Eddie always wears his tux!

Although I thought it an attractive dress, I think Anne is soooo gorgeous she should wear something simpler that lets her beauty be the centerpiece...perhaps a simple but elegant cheongsam like this...

BTW...did you know that Daniel Day Lewis' wife is the daughter of the playwright Arthur Miller....which would make her a stepdaughter of Marilyn Monroe...but as we saw at the Oscar...doesn't mean she has taste!

    Cattily,

Dear Lady Edwina and Sir Eduardo,

I've been noticing that this spring's fashions are using colors from nature, such as coral and moss green.

Cassie Cat's coat looks almost brown in the summertime -- I think it's because she naps a lot between the curtain and the sliding glass door. I was combing her yesterday and noticed that she's back to almost all grey again; she has grown in her "winter" coat in terms of its thickness and color. My hair picks up reddish tones when I spend time outdoors in the summer, but right now it's quite blah brown.

Sir Eduardo -- My fur-nephew Milo will be wearing his usual orange and cream again this spring... we'll be celebrating his first Got-Cha day He's not as nattily attired as you are, but he does look good in his tabby stripes, the big guy. (Boy, did he change coats from autumn to winter! His coat got more fine, if that's possible. He's going to have a b-i-g spring shed, I think. Get the brush ready.)

    Would you care to comment?

    Your fan,
    Elyse

  11. So sorry! Meowmie got lost last week. Said she had heard of snow in hell but not in Dallas!

    To proceed....

When I am at the peak of my grayness ...I feel pink is the best contrast...

And...I checked with Mr. Ed....March requires the wearing of one color only!

    to match the river!

    Fashionably...

    Edwina
