Monty's first flyball lesson...Lots of pics.

I found a local flyball club on the internet and told my sister about it. The first lesson was today. Monty did really well and ended up doing full runs, jumping the 4 hurdles, getting the ball from the box and then going back over the 4 hurdles. Most dogs take several lessons to get to this point. He's developing his turn on the box and obviously needs plenty more practise but things are very promising. Jess went along too but she didn't join in. She turned 14 the other day so she's not young and able enough for that stuff anymore. She did want to join in though. Was very interested in everything that was going on.

Anyway, here is Monty practising the flyball box at the beginning of the lesson.

Later on and he was flying over those hurdles, getting the ball and flying back. I didn't get any box pics of him but got these hurdle shots.
We had to move under the trees because there was a football match going on and the light was rotten under there.

    More coming...

Resting in his cage with Jess whilst other dogs trained.

I caught our poor old Jess fast asleep here with her nose all squashed against the mesh. Was worthy of a pic, haha.

Awesome. But wow, getting the ball from the box on his first lesson? He's either really good or that is one fast paced club!..... hehe
