    Tatiana A Murder Victim

    My heart goes out to you, dear Tatiana. You were murdered for only following your instincts and being a Tiger. Seems you were taunted and teased (pending investigation findings, of course . . . oh, PLEASE! There were sticks and acorns in the enclosure that could NOT have fallen into the area naturally!), and simply were compelled to end your tormentors' abuse. You are not to blame.

    I am so saddened that you had to pay for defending yourself and your territory with your life.

    May you rest in peace and be free at RB, finding comfort in knowing that some of us humans (or at least, me) understand and offer tribute to your grandeur, majestic one.

    If I lived in California, I would make a memorial for you, there at the zoo.

    Why "they" couldn't have just tranquilized you upon your escape is beyond my comprehension.

    From the first second I heard this story, I knew there was more to it than the media was letting on. I knew she had to somehow have been taunted or instigated... especially with the scene and how it all happened. It's so sad and depressing at the same time... but I hope someone will learn a lesson from this. It's a downright shame when you can't respect animals.

    To quote Chris Rock: "That tiger didn't go crazy; that tiger went TIGER!" Tatiana did what tigers do. The story is both sad and maddening. RIP, Tatiana. No more zoo, no more gawkers, no more taunters, just peace to roam free.
