    Musher's Secret

Does anyone here use this product?

    http://www.lucy-the-dog.com/musherssecret.html

The pups are getting red and sore paw pads and I'd like to start using something on them.

Would love opinions on either this product or any product like it that you may use instead.

    Thanks!

Plain ol' Vaseline works just well, is non-toxic to dogs and much cheaper. I use Vaseline on my dogs who have trouble with snowball build up on their paws.

Neat! Do you apply before and after runs or just after?

We haven't had much trouble with ice balls but their paw pads are really red and sometimes rubbed raw from the ice. Chipper was gimping today after a run at the park.

Good to know - last year Star had a lot of trouble with ice balls on her pads. Do you rub it on the pads or in-between too?

I just smear it all over the bottom of their paws, concentrating a bit more on the area inbetween the toes where they get snow build up more. I sometimes carry a small jar inside my parka for reapplying.
