    Bishon Frise

Does anybody know anything about this breed? All I know is that they're little white fluffy dogs. My sister-in-law is in love with them!

I don't know much about them, but they are beautiful, I think one of them was Best of Show one year, maybe two, I'm not sure, I'm sure someone else is up on this subject.

Every time I meet one, I stop to speak to the guardian and each guardian claims it is the most wonderful dog they have ever had...extremely smart. Their fur is comparable to a poodle's, i.e. non-shedding. They are smart, playful, compact, and oh so cute. What more could anyone want in a dog?

Very good for those with allergies (like poodles), respond well to training, friendly and lovable - or so I've been told!

Throughout the many agility classes I have been in with Graham, I have seen 2 different bishons. Both were absolutely adorable but so friendly that they were not really interested in the agility course, they just wanted to visit from person to person. Both of the owners droped the classes I assume because their dogs were too friendly and not interested enough in the course I thought they had fantastic personalities. They seemed bright, but on the stubborn side. I really can only speak for the 2 bishons in agility, because it's one of the breeds I have had very little contact with. I do know that when I pet those beautiful bishon curls, they were extremely soft and coton-like. Very cute, sweet dogs. I don't remember ever meeting an aggressive bishon, which says alot for the breed, but that's not to say there are not aggressive ones out there, it's just uncommon.

One of my friends has a Bichon named Scruffy. He's the sweetest little guy! They got him because one of the kids in the family has allergies and asthma. He has no trouble with Scruffy. Scruf's one fault is that he still has some accidents and he is 8. His family says he was just too stubborn to learn! Leslie is right, petting them is like petting cotton! They are so soft. I think they're a very cute breed.
