Yes, that winning smile was easy to recognize......our very own Dixie is Dog of the Day . I really like it when the dogs do their own bios and you did a very good job Dixie. And the picture...well, it is just the best! But then I don't think you could take a bad picture. I know your mom is very proud of you and will be so happy today because you are Dog of the Day. When I saw that picture I knew it was our Dixie right away, you cannot miss that smile and happy face. Being on the West Coast is a bummer everybody gets to say hi before I do. lol I cannot think of a better dog of the day then Dixie, she is full of grace, beauty inside and outside and the most wonderful Mom to Dusty, and a loving companion to her Mom. I have had such a busy morning and wasn't able to get to Dog of the day earlier. I even said oh well missing one day won't hurt... but something kept telling me I didn't want to miss it today! Now I know why!! My Dixie is being honored as DOG OF THE DAY!!!! I am honored as well since she is my heart!

Thanks everyone for your lovely words. I am glad I am able to share with all of you the joys of having such a wonderful dog! I know you all understand this joy since it is what makes Pet Talk such a wonderful place!

Do you think perhaps she should get something really great for dinner as a celebration instead of plain ordinary dog food??? Maybe a steak!!!

If Dixie is anything like my neighbor's two Goldens- you are blessed with pure golden love. I don't think there is anything quite like a Golden.
