Niño's itchy and his eye's crusty

He's going to the vet soon but I'm just too restless to wait to find out what's wrong with him. Here's a time line of when the problems started happening.
1 month ago- went to the kennel for a week and came home with fleas
3 weeks ago- recieved flea treatment
2 weeks ago- started licking/biting himself more than usual
1 week ago- I noticed a few red hot spots and a LOT more licking himself in between the toes, on the legs, etc
a few days ago- he started rubbing his face on things, scratching at it, etc.
3 days ago- I noticed he had an unusual amount of crust on his left eye and it didn't come off when I tried to wipe it off
today- I noticed the crust is building up and it's redish in color.

I'm really worried although I think it should be managable with some topical treatments of meds I'd like to try and rule out anything very serious before the vet appointment to stop myself freaking out.

Hey...Someone seems to be in the wars at the moment..(poor little one)..
I would have thought here that it could be connected to the fleas, strange as it sounds the flea treatment will work and kills the buggers off but your little one, could well be alergic to the flea bites, hence the licking and 'nasty red spots'....
I think it would be wise to go to your vets and discuss when the problem/s started and see what he/she says,
Red spots can be very nasty, cause they itch,so what do you do?...well you scratch em and we go round in circles,
Hope to here all goes well for you.

Oh Nino, I know it isn't fun to have the itchies.

Have you checked his coat, can you still see any fleas or flea dirt? If he had a major infestation, maybe one treatment didn't do it?

Don't know what you used for flea treatment; did he have a flea bath? Maybe ANY bath would help, the warm water can sooth and give some relief.

You can soak pawsies in a warm water with Epsom salts solution. That often helps.

Best wishes, and let us know what the vet says!
