    RIP little squirrel

I hit a squirrel yesterday, it ran off, I don't know how I feel about that it probably sufferered, I would almost feel better if it died instantly. It was so upsetting I have never hit an animal before

    So RIP little squirrel.

Aw poor little squirrel I never hit an animal yet either, I've come very close but always manage to dodge them. I'm sure someday I will though. Squirrels can sometimes just dart out so fast you just don't have anytime to react.

Well considering I am 46 I guess I have been pretty lucky. I am hoping he just hit part of my car, I don't think I actually ran over him.

Poor little guy. I've hit a squirrel and a raccoon (Within a day of each other!) and both times I was devastated. Hopefully your little squirrel was okay.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

I hope the little squirrel was ok, but don't worry about it. It was a total accident. Animals dart in front of people all the time and sometimes it happens so fast that you don't have time to stop. I was driving on the highway one day not long ago and a little skunk ran right in front of me. I almost hit it but luckily I was able to clow down and it scurried across into the ditch somewhere, but unfortunately I wasn't as lucky about a month ago when I was driving home in the dark. A little rabbit ran right infront of me. I couldn't have been going any faster than 15-20 mph. but it ran right in front of me and I didn't have time to even put on the brakes. I felt so bad and cried afterward, but it was just an accident and I couldn't help it. It was the first animal I had ever hit and I hope it's the last.

I hit a chipmunk one time, looked in my rear view mirror and there he was. Teared up,had to go to church, didn't want to mess up my makeup. That's the only animal I ever hit and like you caseysmom, I'm lucky, at 50, that that's all. I'd be devasted if I hit a cat or dog.
