Freecycle is a gift from god!!! UPDATE: New photos of the view off my balcony

I'm completely speechless... Someone replied to my ad about items I need for my my place. I wasn't expecting much of a reply as my ad had quite the list of things that I really needed & a few things that I would just like.

A lovely man replied to my ad today & said he had a lot of the items on my list & said I would need to come over to check everything out.

So I went over & my goodness all the stuff he has. He collects everything, so he can give to the needy. He does a lot for soup kitchens, nursing homes, shelters, poor childern needing computers & everyday people. I was there for 2 hours talking to him & going through things with him.

I didn't want to ask for much stuff, as it makes me feel greedy, I think he saw that & said I know you need more things so here, take this, this this this & so on He kept saying are you sure thats all you need? OH I have that too!!! Hmmmm that sounds like its poor quality, here this one works perfectly! Hmmmm do you like plants? Heres one of my fav vines, she needs a lot of sun & she needs to come into the house for the winter. Heres a cute little one & heres a nice hanging one. Lets go pick some veggies from the garden.

Lets just say he filled my car with stuff I really needed or wanted. I'm so happy!!!!! I have just about everything.. He sent me an email saying he forgot about the pots & pans & a few other things on my list, so I need to go back later on

Heres a list of the wonderful things he gave me.

    - 20" TV with VCR from 1999 with bran new picture tube (he installed it).
    -19" computer monitor.
    - 2 lovely old lamps. I broke one, so I need to fit it.
    - all kinds of glasses, mugs, alcohol glasses, 2 official shot glasses.
    - miss. bedding stuffs.
    - a lovely green nitted blanket (small).
    - large plastic bowls.
    - 10 garden tomatos.
    - 3 garden green peppers.
    - candle holders
    - 3 plants.
    - Tape player for my car!!!!
    - cable splitter.
    - 3 cook books.
    - 4 jars of preservitives, 3 I can eat & 1 is a gag for my friends, as its the worlds hottest peppers heheh
    - some tupperware

I was in a crazy good mood moving all my new stuff into my place. I saw the lady super & we talked... SHe was thrilled I got some really nice things. I said ya & I plan on looking at those 2 green chairs near the trash to see if they are any good. Turns out they are the 2 chairs from the laundry room & she tossed them out!! SHe said they are really good chairs, but since the floors have just been redone, we wanted new chairs for in there... She said people only sit on them while they do their laundry, so no animals have been on them & no sloppy kids... So I took them both... They are REALLY nice comfy chairs!!! Remember that nice green nitted blanket the old guy gave me? Well I put that on the chair that has a tiny rip at the top, The greens match perfectly & just WOW!

Here are some pictures of my new place.. Its still a mess as I'm trying to see where I like things. So please bare with the mess for now hehe... I didn't take any photos of the balcony as its dark out. I will later & will take photos of my cool plants!

I have given away things on Freecycle, and encouraged others to do so - even our old gasoline lawnmower found a home that was happy to have it! It's a fun idea.

My dad loves the idea, he said he gave away all his things when he moved to PEI. He's giving the site to a bunch of his friends so it can spread over PEI lol

That's wonderful that you found stuff you need on freecycle.

    Thank you

Several people have said its small, but I have lived in MUCH smaller areas before, so to me its pretty big & cozy.

I can see for MILES from my balcony. I had to drag several of my friends off my balcony as they didn't want to leave hehehe

    Congratulations!

I LOVE those chairs. They look so comfy.

Maybe one day you'll be able to help someone out on FreeCycle.

Maybe you can even take that nice guy some baked goods or something.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
