Hee hee, I chose other. Because it really depends on the situation I am in. I was extremely shy as a child. If you ask anyone who knows me now they wouldn't believe I was ever shy in my life. But I can be kinda shy in certain situations.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.
Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I chose "Pretty Confident" but really I am perfectly fine in both scenarios. I used to be EXTREMELY shy but I overcame it.
Not the least bit shy!
I chose shy in person, but not on internet. I really am only shy though with guys or people I used to go to school with.![]()
Thanks so much Ashley for the siggy!

I am very shy with meeting people I know from the internet or dont know at all in person...... the first time I met one of my best friends (we had to sit next to each other) she thought I was really weird (I TRIED to make conversation..... and see kinda ignored me a bit and stared out of the window) and I thought she was really stuck up and looked down on everyone!![]()
We were both very wrong! But I get so nervous with new people! (Its amazing what one friend you are both friends with which nither of you can find can do......... thats how we made friends.... we both have giggle fits if we think about the first day now!)

It really depends on the situation.
If I'm around people who I know I don't have barely anything in common with, then I avoid interacting with people. I hate awkward conversations. If I do find myself talking to complete strangers, I'm pretty good at faking like I'm comfortable.
At the skatepark or at local concerts, I'm not the least bit shy, though. :]
I'm an extremely shy person, much more so in person than on the internet, but I'm pretty shy on the internet too.

In person I'm usually pretty shy and it takes me a bit to feel comfortable with most people. On the internet I can be somewhat shy but not usually.
EXTREMLY shy, to the point that it severly hinders my life.

To all you shy folks, don't be afraid. Come to a Pet Talk gathering sometime, and I will be sure to talk to you - I have always found shy people a bit of a personal challenge, and have made many friends (including my best friend and husband - Paul) by getting to know shy folks. I am not afraid of much of anything - even when I probably should be. I guess I just didn't get that gene at all!
Outside of my online life, I'm shy to the point of being nearly anti-social. I honestly don't know how I ended up with so many friends, lol. When I'm out and about, I can't help but to feel small, insignificant, and extremely self-concious, but on PT all that seems to go away. On PT I really feel at home, and I feel like I can turn to you guys and trust you with ANYTHING, which is something I can't really do with people in person.

I'm VERY shy in person. If I get to know you then I'll talk your head off but at first it'll take me quite a while to get to talking.
On the internet, I'm the biggest blabbermouth there is. I'm sure you've noticed by my 8,070 posts.![]()

I used to be very shy, to the point that when I was little I hid behind my mom, haha. But I've overcome that a lot in the past year or so, especially in the last 6-7 months. In December I met two guys that really helped me overcome it and they are still two of my best friends now. I don't know if they even know that they helped me but I really just felt comfortable around them because they are very silly like me and it kinda made me realize that I just needed to be who I am. I started college on Monday and was excited but I was also nervous that I would clam up again and not make many friends (this was a problem for me in public school ...) but I have already made quite a few friends and have been pretty outgoing in class, whereas I used to be very quiet. I'm not shy on the internet but I don't post much, anymore at least, because I don't spend too much time on the computer.
