    New arrivals

My ducklings came in the mail today. They are a black indian runner female, and a crested fawn and white runner female. They are so cute. The little black one was worrying me at first because she seemed kind of weak but she is doing great now that she has eaten and drank a little water. They came with 11 male chicks for warmth. The male chicks are all rhode island reds I believe. I will definatly find new homes for them as soon as possible. lol

    Here they are
The crested fawn and white runner female

The female black runner she just melts my heart when I look at her little face

Here is all of them in a corner

I put the goslings in for a second just to show size differences. Hopefully in a couple of weeks the ducks and goslings can live together

Thanks for your comment. I can't wait until these girls are big enough to introduce to my grown duck. He hasn't had a girlfriend in months.

    *****CUTE new arrivals!

I'm still chuckling over all the cuteness! I wonder what they sound like when they are all making their respective sounds at once. Lots of peeping and quacking, I'll bet. Sweet, sweet!

Baby ducks don't quack they make a different type of peep than a baby chick. Goslings sound even more different as well. They are all so cute. I think I might keep one of these roosters. My dad loves Rhode Island Reds.
