Picture it...standing at the receiving end with a plastic bag while your cat takes a dump.

I was reading the Advocate today while doing my laundry and came across an article about a special coffee bean called Kopi Luwak, brewed from coffee beans that are eaten by Sumatran civet cats, partially digested then pooped out.

The beans sell for an average of $120 per pound, which boils down to about $8 for the coffee and $112 for people to pick through civet cat poop looking for the beans.

Don't think you can make your own Kopi Luwak knock off by feeding beans to your cat. The coffee's distinct taste is reputed to come from a scent gland found in civet cats but not in American felines. Go figure.

Would you like a donut with that latte??

CHECK PLEASE!!!
