Thursday #214- Once in a Blue Moon!

Well I think it's appropriate to celebrate that celestial rarity known as a BLUE MOON!

I think that everything should be "blue" or "moon" related this week.

So how's about we start with a Blue Hawaii and Pink Floyd----Dark Side of the Moon, maybe?

    So wtihout any further ado!

Well, I'm still feeling "blue" because I'm still sick. Does that count?

How about some catnip tea for the kids and regular tea with honey and lemon for me?

Um, Mario, no need to "moon" me. I feel bad enough without seeing that!

Well I'm only feeling blue because MOMO is sick. Richard, get that woman some real spirit to put in her tea!! That will blow all the germs away guaranteed!!!

Is Blue Hawaii a real drink?? I guess I could google it but only have a minute or two on line here then it's back to work. I just hate sharing an office now. Everyone knows what everyone is doing....or maybe that's the point!!

One double of something for me please Richard.

    Later gators.

Blueberry tea, of course, will cure what ails ye! Hot or iced, dear? And maybe some blueberry cake - I'm sure blueberries are in season somewhere ...

    Blue Hawai'i

Maybe later... if I have one of these right now I will be in big trouble...

    BLUE HAWAI'I COCKTAIL from about.com
Harry Yee was a bartender at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort and Spa when in 1957 he was asked by a representative of Bols to create a new drink using the company's new Blue Curacao liqueur. The Blue Hawaii was born. There are numerous variations of this recipe, many using Creme de Coconut, but this is the authentic recipe.
    INGREDIENTS:
    3/4 oz. Light Rum
    3/4 oz. Vodka
    1/2 oz. Blue Caracao
    3 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Sweet & Sour Mix
    PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients and mix well. If using ice, mix the ingredients in a blender. Serve in a tall glass. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a cherry.

Hey, isn't there a beer called Blue Moon?

Gini was thinking of the Frank Sinatra version of "Blue Moon" last week but all I could think of was the version by the mice in the movie "Babe" Then I started remembering the Rock & Roll version by The Marcels back in the 60's "ring-a-ding a-ding-a-dong-dang... Blue Moon" What ever else we do put something on the jukebox before I drive everyone NUTZ!!! I'll pour the tea, I'll get the muffins out of the oven... just put something else on the music box

"Dark side of the Moon"... what a brilliant idea!! It's one my favourites. A Blue Hawaii sounds good too, and it's looks so pretty.

MOFF, take the chance for this once and pour some spirits into your drink, that'll make you feel a lot better, and it'll taste great.

Slick, it's just too bad that you have to share an office, but I could suggest a few things to get rid of the others.

Karen, I think the first place we'll see blueberries will be in Sweden.

Cheers everyone... hope my tongue won't go blue.

Oh CM, that drink sounds absolutely wonderful. Richard, I'll take one of them for the road please. Will it give me a blue tongue?

Twisted Sister, how about you and me setting up the Karaoke machine and we can sing Blue Moon. Mario and do the dang-a-dang part.

    Oh stop mooning everyone Mario.

**waves** Hi Randi!!! I've already tried eating chili for lunch but they stuck around....

Hello everyone! I'll take a Blue Moon please, followed by a blueberry tea before I go to bed. I see Randi's favourite album is on the juke box - also a difficult one to tap dance to, don't you think?

Twisted??? Heck, I ain't half as twisted as you!!!

We are on a heat wave up here so a nice ice cold beer in a frosty glass will do the trick right now. Speaking about tricks, anyone know any magic???

    I always loved that song.

    Artist: Sha-Na-Na
    Song: Blue Moon Lyrics

Blue moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own
Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for someone
    I really could care for
And then suddenly appeared before me,
the only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper 'please adore me'
But when I looked, that moon had turned to gold -
oh oh oh Blue moon, now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own
Without a love of my own (Blue moon)
    I've Been Boo'd

    I've been Frosted
