Priscilla's not doing well
Priscilla went to see her regular vet yesterday for a checkup. As we know, her eyes are okay, but as for her kidneys she is NOT doing well. She was dehydrated again, even with all the fluids I give her, she does not eat on her own at all, and she mostly just lies around. Sometimes she throws up some of the syringe-fed food.
A blood sample showed that her hematocrit is now almost back in the normal range, but she has a high white blood cell count. Her BUN and Creatinine are still high.
We are trying a few more things.. upping her subQ fluids to 100ml 4 times a day now and giving her a couple of injectable meds along with the subQ to ease her tendency to vomit and combat possible infection, as the WBC count may indicate. And I'm to continue syringe-feeding her. This is only to see if I can give her a bit more good time.
I'm to call the vet back tomorrow to let her know how she is. She still enjoys lying in my lap as I pet her and looking around from the windowsill or the top of the TV, but I don't think it will be much longer now.
Thanks for your prayers and kind thoughts and healing, comforting energies.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
